MUPPETS AND COFFEE: The Indy’s first ever film writing intern is Natalia Cohen, who grew up in Woodland Hills and will be a senior at UCSB this year in pursuit of degrees in English, film/media studies, and professional writing. She’s proudly addicted to coffee—“I’m so far along in my addiction, I’ll take anything I can get,” she replied when asked about favorite coffee shops—and loves the movies. “I like that you can go in and be in any time, any country, or any place, surrounded by Muppets,” laughed Cohen, who’s written about the courthouse movie series and this week tells us the tale of the Fiesta-related documentary Polka Dot Alley. “It’s a form of escape.”
