My mother, Theresa Carman Ward, was Archie Carman’s youngest sister. [Obituaries, “Robert A. Carman, 1931-2010,” 7/8/10, independent.com/franciscanmathematician.] This makes Bob my first cousin. I never had the pleasure of meeting any of Bob’s immediate family. I wish I had had the opportunity to meet such a wonderful man and servant of our Lord and Saviour. I can’t wait to meet Bob on that glorious day when I who have also been waiting with love for my Lord to appear will finally be with all my relatives and friends in heaven.
