The beach show artists did their part and came up with the plans that would have put a lot of profit in the city’s hands. So here we are, with nothing changed, our budget still is red. The city could be richer… ah, but now the summer’s dead.

Redesign of Protected Marine Areas Hits Snag

Besieged with controversy and conflicting opinions since the process first began in 2008, the Marine Life Protection Act’s mandated redesign of marine protected areas along the coast of Southern California, from Pt. Conception to the Mexican border, has hit another potential snag as it readies to become a reality.

Supes Allow Carp Bowfishing

Bowfishing for carp will now be allowed in Lake Cachuma, thanks to an unanimous decision by the Board of Supervisors to change a county ordinance on 9/21.
