This week, Magic Lantern Films presents its 1st Annual Lord of the Rings Marathon. Director Peter Jackson brought J.R.R. Tolkein’s trilogy to the big screen in three different films, which will flicker to life in Isla Vista beginning at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday, May 20, and 1 a.m. on Saturday, May 21. Tickets are $4 for the entire night. Magic Lantern will be holding a “Best Dressed Middle Earth Costume” contest and serving snacks between the films. Call 893-3137 for more info.
