What made the Santa Barbara Bowl of today possible? The short answer is the American Classic Capital Campaign, a fund initiated by Bowl Board President Paul Dore and led by Scott Brittingham. Dore recalls the approach, which took place during a concert. “I spotted Scott — I think he had a beer in each hand — and I asked him, ‘Hey, will you chair the Capital Campaign for us?’ He was a bit startled at first, but he warmed to the idea, and ever since, he has become indispensable to a very successful operation.
