Keep Beach Parking Free

I don’t want to be 70 years old and living on a fixed income, and have to pay $10 every time I want to take a walk on my favorite beach. That’s what the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors and County Parks Department have in mind for us. Do you frequent Goleta , Hendry’s, Summerland (Overlook), or Rincon beaches? Do you think the county should limit beach access to only those who can afford it?

Of course they will start with a modest charge of say $3, so as not to upset people too much. The next thing you know it will be $ 10 per visit as it is now at Jalama.

If any of this upsets you, please let the Supes and the Parks Department know how you feel .
