En Garde!: Stanford student Cole Connelly recently wrapped up his summer internship with The Santa Barbara Independent. The San Jose native said he thoroughly enjoyed spending time in Santa Barbara but is looking forward to going back to school, where he’s on the fencing team. Though he said there’s no place like home, Connelly hopes to one day to travel the world, ideally living and working in Italy for a while. His dream job is to work for the Economist.
