Santa Barbara pays tribute to our country’s military at this year’s Veterans Day Parade and Concert, a special two-part event honoring U.S. veterans on Friday, November 11. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. with a parade down State Street, starting at Sola Street and ending at Cabrillo Boulevard. Then, head to the First United Methodist Church (305 E. Anapamu St.) at 2 p.m. for an outdoor concert and ceremony — which will feature special musical tributes by the S.B. Sheriff’s Pipe and Drum Corps, the San Marcos High School choruses, and the Westmont College Orchestra; and military salutes by the Marine Color Guard and area ROTC groups. The event will also feature remarks from active and retired personnel, as well as talks by elected representatives like Congressmember Lois Capps, Assemblymember Das Williams, and others.
