Impressed by Homeless

Hats off to Santa Barbara! My husband and I recently visited Santa Barbara and loved the whole city. Beautiful scenery, historic setting, quaint State Street, and amazing food. But what impressed us the most were the homeless people we saw along State Street. We’ve seen homeless people in all of our travels across the western United States and never have we seen such clean and seemly, apparently well-fed homeless people. It was evident that Santa Barbarians care for those in their town who are less fortunate, and have taken the necessary steps to remedy a difficult situation. Not once were we accosted or imposed upon by the homeless along the street. Yes, they were were evident but no more than other tourists, students, and residents. Congratulations Santa Barbara on a job well done!
