There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce, refreshments, and Paleo Diet inspired appetizers. In addition they will be holding a raffle with proceeds going to benefit H.E.E.A.L (Hope through Exercise, Energy, and Art for Life), a Santa Barbara non-profit that provides therapeutic exercise, art, and wellness programs for those who are going through grief and loss. Raffle prizes will include wine from Cultivate Winery, one-month CrossFIt membership, and lots more. The event will provide a great opportunity for owners Eric Malzone and Traver Boehm to showcase their brand new location and contribute to a worthy cause.

On the surface, CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program defined by constantly varied, high intensity, functional movements, but as Co-Owner Traver Boehm says “The heart of any CrossFit gym is the community within it, and we couldn’t be happier with the way Santa Barbara has embraced us, and our gym.” CrossFit Pacific Coast currently trains over 150 athletes who come from all walks of life, and varying levels of athleticism.
