The Santa Barbara Public Library System invites families to the Eastside Library on Monday, October 8th, from 5:00-6:00p.m. to celebrate and listen to great Mariachi music to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The Eastside Library is located at 1102 East Montecito Street, Santa Barbara.

National Hispanic Heritage month was enacted in 1988 and urges the education community and organizations concerned with the protection of human rights to observe and celebrate with ceremonies and activities.

Mariachi Las Olas de Santa Barbara is multi-generational and multi-cultural mariachi ensemble of men and women who all share the same passion of performing mariachi music. Mariachi Las Olas actively seeks to bridge communities together through music, performing at various public venues.

This program is funded in part by the Friends of the Eastside Library and the Community Arts Grant Program and the Friends of the Library. For more information call the Eastside Library at (805) 963-3727. For more information about other library programs, visit the library online at SBPLibrary.org.
