Thu Dec 20, 2012 | 08:19pm

Inspiring women have been honored each year since 2009. These include 2012’s business woman Kathy Ireland, 2011’s international public realtions consultant Mary Schnack and in 2010 publisher and philanthropist Sara Miller McCune.

This year, Gutsy Gals Inspire Me® is opening the door for organizations to nominate women who are visionaries and trailblazers and are making the world a better place through professional, planet, philanthropy, politics and personal inspiration to others. Deadline for nominations is January 12, 2013. Final awards will be made at the International Women’s Festival at the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara on February 8.

Patty DeDominic, founder of the International Women’s Festivals shares, “It’s the Gutsy Gals of the world who have empowered other women to step forward and not be afraid to speak up and lead us, as women, to be our natural powerful selves.”

“Gutsy Gals Inspire Me award recipients are incredible role models for all. Their stories, once told, become the foundation for possibility,” said Gutsy Gals Inspire Me® founder, Deborah Hutchison. “By giving our awards at the Women’s Festivals and other events, we hope to launch a movement to inspire girls and women across the world to be courageous, confident, and have the desire to drive their own destinies.”

This year, businesses, nonprofits and individuals can nominate women who have been gutsy in their accomplishments. Consider the following areas of inspiration and get a nomination form at www.womensfestivals.org or at www.gutsygalsinspireme.com. Deadline for nominations is January 12, 2013.
