Passing the Back to Work Budget drafted by the U.S. Congressional Progressive Caucus is critical to leading our country down the road to prosperity, not “austerity,” as Paul Ryan’s budget would do. We are at a critical crossroads in our nation right now, with Republicans acting like they won the 2012 election and continuing to try to repeal “Obamacare” (the Affordable Care Act), privatize our social safety nets, and give even more money to the wealthiest Americans and the military on the backs of the working poor and struggling American “middle class.” Our community needs to know that there is a sensible and sane budget that has been put forward by the largest congressional caucus – the Congressional Progressive Caucus. As progressives, we share a hard battle ahead.
