Witness life under the sea with the UCSB’s Arts & Lectures National Geographic Live! event featuring works by photographer Brian Skerry. Titled Ocean Soul and hosted by Skerry, who has been affiliated with National Geographic magazine since 1998 and has spent more than 10,000 hours in the ocean’s depths snapping myriad marine critters, this multimedia presentation takes viewers from the icy waters of the North Atlantic to the reefs of the central Pacific, chronicling the plight of harp seals against commercial hunters and damaged coral ecosystems. Sunday, April 7, 3 p.m., UCSB’s Campbell Hall. Cost: $20 (general), $15 (UCSB students). For tickets and info, call (805) 893-3535 or visit artsandlectures.sa.ucsb.edu.
