PR POSTING PRO: Nearly three years ago, The Santa Barbara Independent started posting press releases submitted by the community on independent.com, and today we publish as many as 20 per day. The lynchpin to that free service is a rotating team of interns, and this season marks the first time we’ve had a former student return for a second time on the job. Originally from Garden Grove, Christine Cha is a UCSB student majoring in communications and minoring in business writing and has quite a résumé: staff writer at Daily Nexus, campus relations director for the Communication Association, chair of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and a former on-air personality playing Korean pop music on KJUC, KCSB’s training station.
