Mon Sep 23, 2013 | 12:17pm

UCSB students will be celebrating their hard work from Spring Quarter’s Urban Art Workshop, a class taught by artist Ann Hefferman. Join the artist, students, property owner, and other community members as they talk about the process of the mural, the impacts that murals have in Isla Vista, and why they’ve chosen to leave their mark in the form of art in Isla Vista. The unveiling will take place from 4-5pm on Friday, September 30, 2013 at 909 Embarcadero del Mar. Everyone welcome!

The Plaza Lofts first floor is now home to 3 NEW restaurants – Sorriso Italiano, Buddha Bowls and Best of China. Come sample bite sized treats!

Giovanni’s Pizza, next door, will also be providing tasters of their Monday special – House Made Chicken Wings.

The Urban Art Workshop was sponsored by the UCSB Community Housing Office (CHO), Isla Vista Arts, the University of California Institute for Research in the Arts, and property owners Tim Werner and Richard Gilman.
