The Santa Barbara Public Library System announces a free program for adults at the Goleta Library. “Finding the Right Job: A Career Workshop Series,” led by local instructor and job coach Marianne Minor, will be held on Tuesdays, October 1 and 8, and Friday, October 18, from 10:30 a.m. to Noon. The Goleta Library is located at 500 N. Fairview Ave., in Goleta.

The three 90-minute sessions will help job seekers focus on different aspects of managing their job searches. The first session is titled “Analyzing Your Skills,” the second session will focus on perfecting each attendee’s resume, and the final session is about how to “Nail the Interview.” Discussions will include useful resources, practical advice, and lots of question-and-answer time. Participants are invited to bring their resumes, and may attend any or all of the three sessions. Pre-registration is suggested, either in person or by calling the Library.

Ms. Minor is a licensed clinical social worker, management consultant and the author of three books. She worked in Silicon Valley in human resources and management development for over 30 years. She currently acts as a job coach for clients in the private and public sectors.
