Thu Nov 14, 2013 | 01:55pm

Local emergency responders – including EMTs, firefighters, police officers and sheriffs – receive free admission for themselves and family members at the Santa Barbara Zoo as a “thank you” during the week of Monday, November 18 through Sunday, November 24. For more information, visit www.sbzoo.org or call (805) 962-5339.

A photo ID issued by local medical, fire, police and sheriff departments is required for each emergency responder. Free admission is also extended to one additional adult and two children.

“It’s our way to thank the hardworking men and women who have come to the aid of this community over and over again,” said Zoo Director Nancy McToldridge. “We hope they’ll take a day during this time to relax and enjoy the Zoo with their families. We appreciate them for their bravery and hard work.”
