The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has immediate career job openings for highly motivated and qualified Operations Industrial Engineers (OIE) at many locations in California, including Santa Barbara.

Those interested in these employment opportunities can apply online by visiting www.usps.com/employment, selecting Search Jobs & Apply Online and searching under “California” to view the latest job openings in the state. Vacancy postings each have specific job details and information attached. These OIE job postings are open through March 12, 2014.

OIE Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or a Masters of Science in an engineering field from a college or university accredited by ABET.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien and be able to pass drug screening, criminal background and any other applicable Postal Service test.

Today’s Postal Service is a competitive business with opportunities in many professions offering an array of competitive benefits. It is embarking on the most important transition in its history, and needs OIEs to re-engineer how mail and packages are collected, processed and delivered to the American public in a way that is faster, safer and more economical than ever before.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
