Former Planned Parenthood Director Shares Life-Changing Journey

Sat Mar 08, 2014 | 01:30pm

Former Planned Parenthood clinic director Abby Johnson will share her amazing story at 7 p.m. March 11 at the Granada Theater. Seats for “Eyes Wide Open” are free, but preferred seating tickets can be purchased for $10.

Johnson says she always had a passion for helping women, which led her to work for eight years at a Planned Parenthood clinic, ultimately becoming its executive director. In 2009, one event would change her heart forever. Johnson left the organization and wrote a book called Unplanned about her experience, and now speaks internationally sharing the humanity of the pre-born. EYES WIDE OPEN is a fundraiser for Network Medical Women’s Center, a non-profit medical clinic serving men and women in unplanned pregnancies.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with live music ahead of the event’s start.

For more information or to purchase tickets, call Network Medical at (805) 967-9096.
