In a Shakespeare play, a hell for leather ruler screams:
“Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war!”
Dogs are on my case also, but only with war on my sleep and serenity.
I usually wake before they start, but forget trying to sleep after 6 am.
Let me admit, however, that after my earlier poem on this matter,
The continuous barking during the day stopped completely,
At least in my neighborhood.
But there is still way too much barking,
Especially traumatizing before 8 am.
My dog-owner neighbors are still doggedly throwing
Their trash sound thru my windows.
Dog owners of Santa Barbara, you have nothing to lose
But interfering with your neighbors’ lives.
Please work on it.
