Each August, Princeton Review releases over 60 lists of rankings ranging from most studious students (Harvey Mudd) to the most Birkenstock-Wearing, Tree-Hugging, Clove-Smoking Vegetarians (Skidmore). But every year, unsurprisingly, it’s the party ranking we want to know about. The 2014 results are in, and UC Santa Barbara takes the number 3 spot for knowing how to party best. The Princeton Review surveyed “130,000 students at 379 top colleges to rate their schools on dozens of topics and report on their campus experiences” to reach its reported rankings. Among the other top party schools were West Virginia U, University of Iowa (taking UCSB’s last year’s rank of number 2), and Syracuse University, which topped the list at number one.

UCSB made the top ten in not only Top Party Schools but the sister list of Lots of Hard Liquor, where it was endowed with a ranking of 6. It also ranked 11 in Reefer Madness, 12th in Lots of Beer, and 13th in Happiest Students. On a more academic note, UCSB continues to be regarded highly in Princeton Review’s The Best 379 Colleges.
