Failing several attempts to compose a letter explaining all about it, we’re throwing in the revelation towel — too many words; too much information. Instead we offer a simple, fairly informed plea for Yes on P support. We don’t have to look far to discover all about ongoing oil leaks, spills, water issues, fires, and explosions. They’re all connected to a major industry whose products we are, we admit it, completely hooked on. We also know that big oil walks hand-in-hand with the big money. No one needs to increase the volume on their BS detector to note a shared maneuvering toward maximizing profit by minimizing regulation. It’s where we live. It’s sad, really, that this massive industry sometimes refuses to accept greater shared responsibility. Why now refuse to acknowledge our muted plea for more focus on safer procedures … wherever they can be found? Don’t let fear and money team up here. Please vote “yes” on Measure P.
