In the recent article “Ganging Up on Gun Violence,” it did not go unnoticed that Christopher Michaels-Martinez was named, but his killer was not.
I live in Goleta after recently moving out of Isla Vista. I have many friends still there and a few who lost a close friend. I know many people who were frustrated with the media presence and who were offended and appalled at the amount of screen time and lip service the perpetrator got, while his victims went less noticed. Thank you for choosing to let his name go forgotten, while we remember Christopher and the others. It means a lot.
