Thank you for printing the “Letters to the Future: Will the Next Generation Forgive Us?” We may also want to ask if we can forgive ourselves for not doing enough to avert further climate change.
We can all do something now: Support a robust fee on carbon emissions and return the funds collected to low- and middle-income households. That will put the true cost of the effects of burning carbon into place, and renewables will take off as a result. Then future generations can say their parents and grandparents really did make a positive difference!
We can be part of the solution today.
