It was recently announced that longtime Santa Barbara residents Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Brad Hall have made a major donation to the Lompoc Theatre Project, which is dedicated to restoring the historic 1927 building on North H Street. “We are thrilled and honored to be involved in the Lompoc Theatre Project,” said Louis-Dreyfus in a press release. “We are firm believers that this theater will be the beating cultural heart of the community.”
The funds will be used to remove hazardous materials from inside the theater, which was shuttered in the late 1980s. “I was born in Santa Barbara County and can’t wait to see this project start, finish, and flourish,” Hall said. See lompoctheatre.org.
