Despite no evidence whatsoever, the pretender in the White House has ordered a Presidential Commission to make a sweeping request for voting data to prove that millions of immigrants living in this country illegally cast votes this past fall for Hillary Clinton. In fact, the scheme out of Washington is a “witch hunt,” a “phony story,” “fake news” There is “zero proof.” Hardcore Republicans, where have we heard all this before? For you, most of that language should sound very familiar.
No wonder, then, half the states — including California — have refused to comply with this paternalistic incursion of “big government” restricting “states’ rights” to run their own elections and voter registration. To borrow further from the GOP, fortunately for those non-complying states our Constitution includes the “peoples’ right if necessary to bear arms” for their own defense. So “live free or die” Californians. To the Presidential Commission, we say “make our day.” “Lock and load” everyone. Enough is enough!
