Beau James Wilding is back with the unfiltered folk-rock single, “Set Myself on Fire.” The Carpinteria, California based artist will release this first single in advance of his third full-length Record, entitled seeing I god, coming in April 2023. The single was recently featured on KJEE’s Localize It pick of the week and plays with the inquiry of what it means to give one’s self fully to a cause.
After spending more than half his life legally blind, Beau takes us through the hazy realities of his unique human experience, all the while undergirded by a strong sense of will and determination. Poetic, raw, and honest lyrics showcase his powerful ability to story-tell, while his vigorously thumping guitar playing will get you off your feet and out of your own way.
The single will be released on all major streaming platforms on Friday, January 13. Beau James Wilding, backed by Tom Kenny on the bodhran, will be playing at the brewLAB in Carpinteria on that date starting at 7 PM to celebrate. Admission is free.
