Whether you’re a lifelong Buddhist or are curious about Buddhism come join the Buddhist Church of Santa Barbara (BCSB)’s monthly dharma gathering. All are welcome!
Join us at our picturesque temple on Santa Barbara’s Eastside on Saturday May 10th at 10 am for a Buddhist service that includes moments of meditation to quiet the mind, chanting of traditional texts called sutras, and hearing a dharma message. The message will focus on the theme “Understanding Infinite Wisdom and Compassion” through the ritual of incense burning. A complimentary lunch with refreshments will be served and we’re excited to answer any questions you have about Buddhism.
BCSB is part of the 800-year-old Jodo Shinshu tradition of Japanese Pure Land Buddhism and has been rooted in Santa Barbara since 1913.
