James Zahoudanis
James D. Zahoudanis passed away peacefully at home on Easter Sunday, 2025, with his family by his side.
Born in the village of Litochoro, Greece, at the base of Mount Olympus, James immigrated to New York as a young boy. A self-made man, he built a successful career as a sales and marketing executive, holding leadership roles at some of the world’s most influential tech companies, including Motorola, Oracle, and IBM. He raised his family in Palo Alto, a place he loved deeply, before settling in Montecito in 2011.
Known for his generosity, warmth, laugh, and sense of humor, Jim brought joy to every room he entered. He had a big heart, a sharp business mind, and an ability to connect with anyone—traits that made him a beloved colleague, friend, and father.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Sophia Kinell and Helene Petersen, and four grandchildren, who carry forward his enduring spirit and love.
He is deeply missed and forever remembered.
