Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Members, come join us for exclusive access to the Gladwin Planetarium. Each quarter, our Astronomy Programs presenters will guide you through a free special topic presentation with a different focus prepared just for you! Journey through the cosmos with stunning visuals and the latest news in astronomy. Follow along with the series to explore the vast possibilities of space. Recommended for ages five and up.

September 26: The Brightest Lights in the Cosmos
Quasars blaze with the power of a trillion suns, outshining entire galaxies from billions of light-years away. Powered by supermassive black holes, these cosmic lighthouses illuminate the early universe and reveal its deepest mysteries. Join us for this live presentation to explore the science and spectacle of quasars, the brightest lights in the cosmos.

Free for Members, $5 for their non-member guests

Space is infinite but planetarium seats are not—reserve spots while they last. Choose from two 20-minute shows starting at 5:30 or 6:00 PM. Be prepared for staff to check your membership card and be ready to enter 10 minutes in advance as these shows will begin promptly.
