Susan Petty
Nests float on white paper, foliage fills frames, and trees pose for portraits; excerpts from rural life that Susan Petty ennobles in graphite, oils, and watercolors.
Working across mediums reveals Petty’s creative adeptness. Her paintings on canvas and paper enhance the color, shape, and patterns of botanical life on her ranch into visual splendor.
Her drawings combine deft sensuous lines with crosshatching, creating forms from the shading and blank paper. Each pencil mark references the time Petty has devoted to preserving her subjects.
Lush Life
Glistening water mirrors the sky and overgrown banks. Trees and vegetation crowd canvases, and close-ups of flowers and waves reveal recurring patterns. Our artists captivate the viewer with abundant flora, rich colors, and textures filling opulent vistas and tableaus.
