EE Makerspace - Art From Scrap

Kindness comes to life through art and words in our hands on creative workshop led by Guest Artist Sondra Weiss. Children and families will design handmade cards and appreciation notes for the people who make our community special, from teachers and mentors to local helpers, favorite restaurants, and nonprofits. Using colorful collage materials and thoughtful writing prompts, we’ll craft messages that spread gratitude and joy throughout our town. Together, we’ll celebrate caring connections and help our community shine a little brighter, one card at a time!

All materials and tools are provided.

Pricing: General $20 per family| Free for kids 12 and under.

Sondra Weiss is a longtime Museum Art Educator  and the founder of Lost Art of Love Letters. She engages people around the world to write creative letters on the topics of mental wellness, social justice, environmental protection and good old fashioned love for self as well as others. Sondra has been hired to collaborate with the UN Environment, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Ritz-Carlton and international youth, as well as museum summits. She has designed many art engagement experiences in galleries locally and abroad, creating with communities, in schools, museums, summits, rehabs, and shelters in both private and public spaces.
