An evening service intended for rest and contemplation. Compline is led by the Rev. Sarah Thomas.

It begins with synthesized ambient music by DJ artist, Andrew Elia, then a transition with loose-leaf brewed herbal tea, and concludes with the opportunity to hear a person share a personal story.

This month’s storyteller is Isao Sugano. Isao has been an elementary school teacher in the Hope District for 32 years. As a sansei, a third-generation Japanese American, he will share about his renewed passion for Japanese culture and what has motivated him to become more involved in education, preservation, and celebration for the sake of family, friends, and his community.

Incense and candlelight are used during the service.

Trinity is an LGBTQ+ welcoming and affirming congregation.
