A special benefit concert to raise funds for the award-winning SMHS Jazz Band‘s upcoming competition in New Orleans, this show will feature popular songs, classic standards, and a few surprises!

Guests are welcome to attend a special reception and silent auction featuring many amazing items and experiences.

The public is welcome to participate in the Silent Auction without a concert ticket purchase but must be present to win.

The goal is to raise $20,000 for the upcoming Jazz Band trip and performance in April 2026.

The San Marcos Instrumental Music program, led by Director (and alum) Michael Kiyoi has a history of exceptional performances and regularly brings home top honors in competitions close to home, throughout California, and beyond.

Most recently, they placed first at the 2025 Santa Barbara Jazz Festival and the Dos Pueblos Jazz Festival.

In 2024 they placed first at the Dos Pueblos Jazz Festival and won multiple awards at the World Strides Competition in Chicago, Illinois.
