RUBENSTEIN CHAN Contemporary Art
Opening March 7, Rubenstein Chan presents its first ever solo show, It’s Complicated, featuring the work of Montecito artist Gerrie Shapiro.
The show marks Shapiro’s return to the gallery world after more than two decades.
Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, Shapiro creates vibrant, message-driven paintings alongside interactive sculptural objects – music boxes, jewelry boxes, and puzzle blocks – that invite touch and movement, revealing new narratives from every angle.
This exhibition is presented in hour of Gerrie’s father, Jason Shapiro.
In tribute, a portion of the artist’s proceeds will be donated to the Friendship Center SB and Chabad of Montecito.
A reception will be held March 14 from 5-8 pm.
(Performance is likely.)
The gallery is open Saturday and Sunday 12-5 pm.
And we are happy to open by appointment Monday-Friday at www.rubensteinchan.com/appointments
