Using an ecologically minded approach, Ariana Palmisano Rose will share her experience of how to grow the best cut flowers in your garden with the least amount of effort. She will discuss all aspects of flower growing from selecting seeds and plants to sowing, planting, harvesting, and arranging cut flowers.

Ariana is a farmer, artist, teacher, and naturalist in Santa Barbara County. She grows and arranges over 200 species of plants on less than one acre in the foothills using biological gardening techniques to build soil and microorganisms and does all the work by hand. Her fresh bouquets are available seasonally at the Santa Barbara Farmers Market on Saturdays and at the Goleta Farmers Market on Sundays.

This is the FREE monthly meeting of the Santa Barbara County Horticultural Society. A plant raffle takes place after the meeting. Raffle tickets available at the door. Please consider joining the Society for only $30/year. Free garden tours are a benefit of membership. (Photo credit: Ariana Rose)
