This talk will move through the different habitats in our local mountains and the wildflowers that can be found in each, including Riparian, Oak Woodland, Chaparral, and Conifer Forests.

Also woven in will be several trails where one can find some of these wildflowers and other wonders.

Join author James Wapotich as he shares images and stories from his treks and wanders in our local backcountry.

James is a trail guide, UC Certified California Naturalist, and the author of the Santa Barbara News-Press hiking column, Trail Quest.

He leads classes on natural history, backpacking, and mindfulness in nature.
