As part of this special event, we will be donating 10% of all sales from 5:30 – 7:30pm to Children’s Creative Project.
Have fun coloring and building community at Chaucer’s Books!
Author/illustrator Sharon Frances will facilitate a workshop based on her new coloring book, Coloring Resistance: A Creative Recharge to Power Your Voice. Workshop participants can color a hand-lettered quote/illustration from the book using drawing different techniques Sharon will demonstrate.
Description
We are in a long, tough social justice fight to end oppression and secure liberation for all people and the planet. As activists, we need rest and inspiration so we can keep going. Enjoy 50 coloring pages to recharge and power your voice. Artist Sharon Frances has adapted these illustrations from her original linocut block prints. Each coloring page includes an empowering hand-lettered quote and imagery-rich images. Themes include: activism, bodily autonomy, the environment, global liberation, human rights, immigration, labor, mental health, Palestine, queer joy, solidarity, and fighting authoritarianism, colonialism, ICE & patriarchy.- Courtesy of the author.
