Black Sheep

At the Black Sheep, current Santa Barbara Poet Laureate and Santa Barbara Independent Food Writer George Yatchisin will discuss A Feast for Santa Barbara: Poets Celebrating Food & Drink, the just-published poetry anthology from Gunpowder Press about food and drink in Santa Barbara County.

The volume features over 100 poets ranging in age from sixth-graders to a 95-year-old. Yatchisin will be joined in conversation by Krista Harris, the founding owner/publisher of Edible Santa Barbara and one of the poets in the collection. Three other writers in the collection will read their poems.

Following their conversation (which will include a Q&A) we’ll adjourn for a reception and book-signing, where guests will enjoy appetizers from The Black Sheep celebrating SB produce and flavors and wines provided by Pali Wine Co. Every attendee will receive a copy of the anthology.

A portion of the proceeds from this will benefit the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience in partnership with The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts. Gratuity is included.
