First on this week’s Poodle Radio, Colin Marshall talks to photographer Hutch Axilrod about his journey from a complete sale of his possessions to the world of high fashion to UCSB’s College of Creative Studies to movie shoots to India and Nepal to the show he’s putting up at SOhO at the end of this month that will have its official opening on August’s First Thursday. Then, a new cohost joins the show: Levi Michaels comes with the credentials of not only hosting shows on KDVS, the radio station of his alma mater UC Davis, but Techno Sucks on KCSB back when he was in high school in Santa Barbara. He’s also written about music and culture for The Indy.

Music this week, organized by Pop Culture Editor Aly Comingore, comes from artists like Glen Phillips, Tall Tales, and Wetlands, all of whom will play live in Santa Barbara soon. You can tune in to Poodle Radio live every Thursday morning from 8-9 a.m. on KCSB, 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara or on KCSB’s webcast at KCSB.org.
