Braver Angels’ National Ambassador, John Wood Jr. will speak in Santa Barbara on May 23 to articulate the grassroots organization’s renewed vision. Braver Angels  is the nation’s largest cross-partisan, volunteer-led movement to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic. After a decade of building the movement, Braver Angels is raising the bar and doubling down on its proven ability to make a difference. The event starts at noon at Oceanhills Covenant Church in downtown Santa Barbara, with plenty of free parking.

John Wood Jr comes to Santa Barbara to deliver an important message from the Braver Angels’ leadership team about our mission for the coming decade!  As a nation, we are about to celebrate our 250 year anniversary of declaring our independence and we’re in an important election cycle. At Braver Angels, we have a new CEO Maury Giles, leading us as we act now to reimagine our cross-partisan role in strengthening our democratic republic. John Wood, Jr. is here to deliver the good news. Braver Angels is redoubling its commitment to inspire and equip Americans to meet this moment.

Our HIGH NOON event is a  kickoff and a relaunch of the Santa Barbara BA chapter that began in 2016 now the Braver Angels Alliance of the Central Coast! Come and meet your Braver Angels leaders here on the central coast.

Also see a mini demonstration of Braver Angels national initiative on immigration. This common ground workshop has proven to be a powerful experience for those who participate. This mini demo shows one way in which Braver Angels is making a difference in Braver Politics. So, if you have never heard of Braver Angels, or you are a long time participating member you do not want to miss this opportunity to see John Wood, Jr. articulate our renewed vision and mission and no one else can.

Throughout our history as a nation we have always had to meet each moment of division and discord with courage and willingness to engage with the ideas that can divide us. Braver Angels’ vision is an America that recognizes ‘difference’ as a strength, and not a weakness. There is no better messenger than Wood.
