An Evening with Hunt Slonem

Seimandi & Leprieur Gallery is pleased to announce the in-person presence of Hunt Slonem for a special evening at the gallery on Friday, May 15, from 4-8pm, marking his first visit to Santa Barbara and announcing his collaboration with the gallery. The exhibition features a curated selection of over twenty works by the artist.

Over the past decades, Slonem has developed a distinctive and immediately recognizable body of work, held in major public and private collections. His paintings, often centered on birds, butterflies, and tropical flora, are built through layered, expressive brushwork and a vibrant, rhythmic palette, reflecting both repetition and a meditative process. Today, his work is included in over 250 museum collections worldwide, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, further underscoring his lasting institutional recognition.
