Matthew Joseph Hayes

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our brother Matthew Joseph Hayes, who departed on January 31, 2026. A devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, Matthew was known for his exceptional kindness and generous spirit. He left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Matthew is survived by his siblings, John Hayes, Daniel Bowen, Catherine Bowen, and his sister-in-law, Julia Bowen. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: Tiffany, Amanda, Nathan, Stephanie, Michael, and Jasmine. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tina Bowen, and his brother, Michael Hayes.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Carpinteria State Park Beach Picnic Area. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of a life well-lived.

Light refreshments and food will be provided. Guests are kindly requested to provide their own preferred beverages. We look forward to honoring Matthew’s memory together.
