Direct from Spain via Los Angeles, during a break from an international tour with one of the most acclaimed artists on today’s global music scene, the Makarines are making a rare one-night-only appearance in Santa Barbara. Known for their beautifully layered vocals and contemporary interpretation of flamenco music, their music blends traditional roots with modern influences to create a uniquely captivating musical experience.

The Makarines are a flamenco singing and multi-instrumentalist duo formed by brothers José Ibáñez (guitarist/pianist/vocalist) and Maka Ibáñez (cajón/vocalist) from Triana, Spain. Raised in the rich tradition of flamenco their hallmark fusion style defies categorization while remaining grounded in the tradition of flamenco cante.  Performed in Spanish, their music connects with audiences beyond words, creating an unforgettable evening of flamenco music and fusion.

Joining the brothers are vocalists Aroa Fernandez and Claudia la Chispa.

NOTE:  This performance is recommended for audience members ages 8 and older.  Tickets for children are $32.  Late seating is limited once the performance begins, so please plan your arrival time accordingly.

Advance online ticket purchases are recommended, as the in-person Box Office has limited and irregular hours, even on the day of the event.
