Stephen Richard Enright passed away peacefully on the morning of July 7, 2026, surrounded by love, just one day shy of his 81st birthday.
Steve was the kind of person who could make anyone laugh. Known for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor to his daughters and granddaughters, and easygoing personality, he had a way of making everyone feel always welcome. He spent over 40 years in the food industry with S.E. Rykoff, then US Foods, where he built lasting friendships through his dedicated work, loyalty to businesses, and genuine love of people. Throughout more than four decades in the food industry, Steve earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike through his integrity, loyalty, hard work, and the genuine friendships he cultivated along the way.
As a father to Chase and Lauren, Steve would spend season after season coaching, attending, and supporting their athletic careers. Steve was devoted to watching Lauren play soccer. After retirement, his greatest joy became spending time with his family, especially his beloved granddaughters, Kenyon and Isla. Nothing brought Steve more happiness than making them laugh, celebrating their birthdays, and simply being together.
Steve had a passion for delicious food including cooking, gardening, and sports (both watching and playing). Steve was gifted athletically. Whether he was cheering on his favorite teams, sharing a delicious meal, or making everyone around him laugh, he embraced life with enthusiasm and kindness. His greatest gift was making people feel at ease, reminding those around him not to take life too seriously. His laughter, stories, and generous heart will be deeply missed.
He is lovingly survived by his daughters, Chase Enright and Lauren Enright; his son-in-law, Ryan Throop; and his cherished granddaughters, Kenyon and Isla Throop, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.
Steve’s legacy lives on through the love he shared, the immeasurable laughter he created, and the countless memories he leaves with those who knew him. He will forever be remembered as a devoted father, proud grandfather, loyal friend, and a man who truly enjoyed life’s simple pleasures.
Your greatest accomplishment wasn’t your career or your many achievements; it was the Enright family you loved so deeply. Thank you for every lesson, every laugh, every game you never missed, every meal you shared, and every moment you made us feel loved. We love you beyond words, Dad. Though we will miss you every day, your kindness, generosity, humor, and unconditional love will live on in all of us. We will carry your laughter, your spirit, and your love with us always.
