Art on The Lane: Local Artist Showings on Santa Clause Lane

For the first time in many years, art is returning to Santa Claus Lane as four local artists open their studios and gallery spaces for Art on the Lane, a special afternoon and evening celebrating local art, community and the unique coastal character of Carpinteria.

On Saturday, Sept. 12, art lovers, locals and visitors are invited to stroll along Padaro Lane from 4 to 8 p.m., step inside local studios and gallery spaces, meet the artists and discover new works by:

• McKenna Van Koppen

September 12th offers an opportunity to experience the artists’ work in their creative spaces while exploring one of Carpinteria’s most beautiful coastal neighborhoods.

Guests can make an evening of it by strolling between the studios, enjoying sundowners or an early dinner on the Lane, grabbing a bite at Garden Market, Padaro Grill or Thario’s, visiting A-Frame Surf Shop, or taking a walk along the gorgeous beach nearby.

After a long absence of art exhibitions along Santa Claus Lane, Art on the Lane brings together four local artists for an intimate, walkable art experience in a distinctly Carpinteria setting. Rather than visiting a traditional gallery, guests are invited to experience the artists’ work where creativity happens – while enjoying the laid-back atmosphere, restaurants and natural beauty of Santa Claus Lane.
