Henry Grant Coultas Jr.

Henry Grant Coultas Jr. Of Lompoc, Ca passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, with his wife by his side. Henry was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to everyone.

Henry was born on January 8th, 1953 to Henry Grant Coultas Sr. and Fern in Port Hueneme, Ca. Henry was the oldest of 4 children. He was raised in Reseda, Ca and graduated high school there. He went to work as a plumber and spent the next 53 years doing what he loved.

He married Sharon Daries in 1979 and was a father figure to her 2 young children, John and Kymberly. They later adopted another child together, Sam. After 35 years they parted ways.

Henry married Julie on 4th of July 2016. They were true soulmates and they could do almost anything together. They loved traveling together whether that was to music festivals or to the Caribbean where they were married. Henry truly enjoyed life and flourished. All wasn’t rosy though as they endured health challenges and living in Henry’s 13 foot scamp trailer during the covid lockdown.

They eventually moved to Lompoc and purchased a home together. Henry worked for Livingston plumbing in his early years and later for Douglas Wilson plumbing in Santa Barbara where he spent 25 years. He retired (or at least said he retired) but continued to work doing what he loved best.

There wasn’t a person he met that he wouldn’t call ” friend”. He was loved by everyone he met. He was a strong man with a kind spirit and caring soul and will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. Henry enjoyed gardening also and going to the dog park with his fur-son Baxter.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents and brother Lester. Henry leaves behind his wife Julie, and step-son Nicholas. Also step-son John Reed (Heather) and step-daughter Kymberly Bennett. And a son Samuel Coultas. Along with a step grandson, Blake. Brother Harry (Lynette), sister Lila Clark (Robert) and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Henry’s life at Westmont college’s physical plant on September 26, 2026 from noon to 3. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to St. Jude children’s hospital, Sutter Health ridley-tree cancer center or the Burbank boxer rescue in his name or your favorite charity.
