VELMA SANCHEZ TENOSO

Wife-Mother-Friend Velma was a Santa Barbara native from a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother Teresa Boardman and by her brother Ernie Sanchez.

Velma is survived by her husband of 55 years, Pete Tenoso Jr.; her two sons Paul and Daniel Tenoso; her brother Chris Scott, stepfather Dick Boardman; stepson Pete Tenoso III (wife Mary) and their sons Peter IV and Steven; and her sister-in-law Teresa Ledesma and family.

Velma loved get-togethers with family and friends, baking, shopping for bargains at thrift stores and going to the Gem Faire, as she loved jewelry!

She loved outdoor adventures including camping, boating, fishing and lake cruising or just nature walking observing the animals, especially the birds. Velma Retired from food services with the Santa Barbara City School District.

Velma endured several health issues, some of which she could never overcome yet fought fiercely.
