On October 6, Whole Foods Market will donate more than 170,000 pounds of food through 108 “Stuff the Van” events across the country, benefitting its Nourishing Our Neighborhoods refrigerated van recipients. Unity Shoppe will have their Nourishing Our Neighborhoods van filled with donated products by Whole Foods Market team members. The donation will help support community members who are experiencing food insecurity. Unity Shoppe staff will be on site to help stuff the van and to collect the food. Members of the media are encouraged to attend.
The event is part of Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods Day, celebrating their refrigerated van recipients. Along with the Stuff the Van events, the company will host six Free Mobile Markets across the U.S. providing food for 4,200 households facing hunger.
